This week we are talking remakes and looking at the Thai drama, Unlucky Ploy, a remake of the Korean drama.

We spend some time going over what we liked and didn’t like about the episode we watched and discussed the similarities and differences between the two.

  1. So glad you picked this up to discus – I’m a fan of Thai remakes. Although I couldn’t really find info about the production company, I noticed the drama ran on True4U network and many of the remade Korean dramas ran there as well. Also, Halo Productions, a company run by Thai actor Ananda Everingham, has bought the rights to a number of Korean dramas – Princess Hours, Kiss Me, etc. He’s actually the lead in Secret Garden! I’m also curious as I’ve seen a number of dramas staring the Eric Mun lookalike, Anusorna. Generally a good supporting actor.

    1. I’m really enjoying Unlucky Ploy. I’m glad we decided to watch it too. It’s interesting that these are all coming from the same production company, but I guess it kind of makes sense really. That would be a pretty good way to build a brand for yourself.
